Versatile beginner wing

Based on the Mojo 5, the Mojo PWR is a versatile wing for both free flying and powered flight. Certified EN A, it is suitable for students in training but ideal for the newly qualified. It is reliable and dependable, perfect for pilots who require an easy, safe and solid wing for their first 100s hours of paramotor experience as well as paragliding ridge soaring, thermalling and XC flying. The risers feature with trimmers for fast cruising, double pulleys for adjusting brake line lengths and magnetic brake connectors. Due to the specially designed power risers the Mojo PWR is suitable for all types of paramotors and trikes along with all hang point types.

The Mojo PWR is aerodynamically very clean: the reduced sail drag, optimised line layout, reduced line consumption and newly-shaped cell openings all push the Mojo PWR’s performance to the top of the category without compromising safety. This balance of performance and safety is an important consideration for any new pilot, and the Mojo PWR combines EN A certification with the solidity, agility, sink rate, and glide performance that is necessary for short take off and low fuel consumption during long XC flights.

Special attention has been made to the ground handling and inflation characteristics of the wing to make the whole process easier, less stressful and ultimately safer. Setting up is easy; the risers are simple and clean the wing inflates smoothly - without overshooting or hanging back - even in zero wind conditions. In stronger winds it inflates progressively with less tendency to “shoot up” and pull the pilot off their feet.

In the air the Mojo PWR is agile, stable and comfortable. In active air the wing is compact and forgiving. It is well damped in pitch, this helps it cut through turbulence efficiently making it very resistant to deflations and improving the re-inflation characteristics. It delivers gentle, predictable feedback and filters air movements in an understandable way. At full speed the leading edge remains solid allowing for a large usable speed range and high cruise speeds.

Brake pressure and brake precision have been refined for improved handling - turns are easy to initiate, and the wing maintains bank angles whilst thermalling with minimal input. This precision, along with the deeper overall brake range and higher resistance to stall or spin make the Mojo PWR a super-fun yet forgiving wing to fly.

Kona

PEDIGREE

The Kona builds on over a decade of PPG wing design, and is the perfect wing in the OZONE range for beginner-intermediate PPG pilots who need a wing that excels in free-flight.

Based on the Buzz Z5, which is one of the most popular wings in our range, the Kona features cutting edge performance technology in a platform that is exceedingly comfortable under power or in free-flight.

PERFORMANCE

The Kona is equipped with the same performance enhancing design features that have pushed the latest iterations of Rush, Delta, Mantra, and Enzo series wings to the top of their class. Most notably, it features a totally new SharkNose profile and leading edge. Proved to be one of the most significant recent technological breakthroughs, the patented SharkNose profile improves performance, solidity and handling characteristics at all angles of attack and airspeeds.

Aerodynamically, the Kona profile and sail are very clean. It has been designed with the latest generation software to generate cells that are better aligned to the airflow, reducing profile drag and wing tip vortices. The sail has been further optimised with double 3D shaping for a cleaner leading edge and three extra cells for a better top surface without the addition of extra lines. A new internal structure and optimised line layout has allowed these three extra cells to be added without additional lines or increased wing weight.

The Kona’s aspect ratio remains the same as the Buzz PWR. Increasing aspect ratio is a simple method of increasing performance, but leads to significant compromises in passive safety. Therefore, we do not believe in pushing this important design consideration. Instead, we have focused on reducing sail drag, optimising the line layout, reducing the overall line drag, and creating newly-shaped SharkNose cell openings to push the Kona’s performance to the top of the category without compromising safety. The performance enhancing features of the Kona can be considered “free upgrades”, as they increase glide and speed without reducing passive safety.

COMFORT AND PROGRESSION

Above all else, the Kona is easy and comfortable to fly. The handling is intuitive, fun, and agile, with a progressive and precise feel. It is highly compact, with perfectly coordinated roll and yaw in the climb. In active air, the feedback from the wing is gentle and predictable; filtering air movements in an understandable way. All of these factors provide you with the confidence to progress under power or in free-flight.

Launching is a critical part of each and every flight, and we have paid particular attention to the ground-handling characteristics of the Kona. It inflates smoothly, without overshooting in higher wind speeds. Even in zero wind conditions, there is no tendency for the wing to hang back. In stronger winds it inflates progressively with less tendency to “shoot up” and pull the pilot off their feet. The excellent launch behaviour is due in part to the SharkNose profile, which outperforms the behaviour of traditional leading edge designs as the wing transitions through the inflation and launch process.

In the air, the Kona’s turn is more progressive, allowing you to center lift and tighten the turn with higher precision and spin/stall resistance. Overall, the sail has more cohesion and the profile is more stable in active air compared to all of our previous wings in this category.

PILOT

The Kona is suitable for a wide range of pilots from talented beginners to the most experienced – the principle consideration is that this wing is designed to fly under power part of the time, and in free-flight part of the time. Pilots who switch back and forth often and tend to log 30-50 free-flight hours per year will find the Kona to be ideal.

POWER RISERS

The Kona ships with next-gen PPG risers, featuring a smooth trim system, a new stronger brake handle attachment system, and a new brake line pulley. The system is adjustable in height and suitable for any type of harness hang point and pilot preference. The “A” risers are color coded for easy identification.

THE TECH

The Roadster 3 delivers all of the benefits of an advanced reflex profile and the patented OZONE SharkNose, with EN B certification*. The Shark Nose OZONE Reflex Profile was developed specifically for powered flight. It maintains a constant level of lift and internal pressure over a wide range of angles of attack, giving exceptional levels of stability throughout the speed range. In turbulent air, even at low angles of attack, the Roadster 3 is highly collapse resistant - the reflex profile absorbs turbulence and remains inflated even without pilot input. At high angles of attack the brake range is very forgiving, meaning that deep inputs can be made without the risk of stall.

THE DESIGN

The Roadster 3 features a new internal structure designed to increases the strength and longevity of the sail without adding weight. Further changes have been made to the twist of the wing and overall line lengths to improve roll stability and dampen the effects of engine torque, whilst improving the overall handling.

Lightweight beginner/ intermediate glider

Paraglider pilots have long appreciated the benefits of lightweight equipment; smaller packing volume, easier portability and seriously improved inflation behaviour. Now, paramotor pilots are also benefiting from these desirable characteristics with lightweight wings now designed specifically for powered use. The Spyder follows in the innovative footsteps of the Sirocco as a fully reflexed, light-weight paramotoring wing. Based on the successful Roadster 2 and weighing in on average 1.5 kg lighter (depending on size), the Spyder retains the same levels of comfort, performance, speed and stability but with noticeably better handling and ridiculously easy inflation behaviour, especially in nil wind. It is suitable for a wide range of pilots from beginners to experienced XC pilots alike who are looking for a safe and fun all-round wing.

The Spyder incorporates the knowledge gained from the development of our lightweight paragliding range along with the experience of our world championship winning Paramotor design team. It is made from a hybrid mix of lightweight materials, intelligently employed in specific locations to optimise longevity and weight. Strong and UV resistant, Dominico N20D cloth is used in the critical leading edge area whilst the super light and long-proven Porcher Skytex 27gr is used in the rear part of the top surface and the entire lower surface. This use of lighter fabric does not necessarily reduce the lifespan - if well cared for, occasional pilots may not notice a difference relative to a standard wing.

In use however the difference is obvious - paramotoring equipment is heavy and any weight saving makes a difference - pilots will notice it as soon as they get out of the car! The reduction in weight allows for easier manoeuvres on the ground, making the preparation process easier and less tiring. When ready to go the Spyder is incredibly easy to inflate, requiring minimal riser inputs it rises off the ground and above the pilot’s head without resistance, even in nil wind. It can remain overhead in lighter winds than a standard wing and the take-off speed is generally lower, requiring less engine power and a shorter runway to become airborne.

The Spyder features a Shark Nose OZONE Reflex Profile (OZRP) tuned specifically for powered flight. The Shark nose profile maintains a constant level of lift and internal pressure over a wide range of angles of attack. This profile increases levels of stability whilst accelerated so is very collapse resistant - even in turbulent air – and increases levels of forgiveness due to its acceptance of deep brake inputs before the stall point. The wing includes a host of other technical details such as a refined sail tension to absorb turbulence and filter the feedback for a comfortable ride; efficient and light plastic nose reinforcements and a line plan optimised to balance low drag efficiency and long term durability.

The risers feature long range trimmers and a long range accelerator system for high cruise speeds and a high top speed. The accelerator and trimmers integrate seamlessly - using the speed system has exactly the same effect as releasing the trimmers. Unlike some other paramotor wings, it is possible and safe to fly with the trimmers in the fully slow (neutral) position whilst using the full range of the accelerator system. This is an important safety feature - if there is a departure from accelerated flight, the recovery characteristics will be better with the trims in the slow, certified position. The risers also feature a tip steering system (TST) for accurate, agile handling during accelerated flight and adjustable brake handle attachment points to suite different motor and trike units.

Due to its exceptional inflation behaviour it is very easy to launch. The Spyder excels in nil wind conditions; the inflation is smooth and constant all the way to the zenith, whilst in stronger winds it is very progressive without the tendency to hang back or over-shoot. With the trimmers set to the slow position the take off speed is relatively low so it can launch and land within a short space. Handling has been tuned to be intuitive, predictable and forgiving but at the same time very precise and responsive.

Although designed for pilots who fly mainly (if not exclusively) under power, the Spyder also performs excellently un-powered in free flight. The sink rate is low enough to soar in light lift, thermal in all conditions and the glide performance is good enough to fly cross country.

Replacing the iconic Speedster was never going to be an easy task. After years of testing, we are pleased to announce that the Speedster 2 is now ready. This all new design retains a similar character to its predecessor, but includes technological improvements on the handling, stability, and efficiency. The Speedster 2 is a more agile and efficient wing, with even more speed for the new generation of PPG pilots. The Speedster 2 features:

Dynamic Performance

THE DESIGN

We’ve taken the latest technology and best features from the VIPER 4, SLALOM, and SPEEDSTER 2, and adapted it all to a new mission. The result is one of the fastest and most stable PPG wings that we have ever produced. The planform and arc are based on the Viper 4, but with a lower aspect ratio for a more compact and forgiving feel. The OZRP remains unchanged, featuring SharkNose openings and the highest levels of CM+ within the OZONE range. A pure 4-line rigging plan and a new internal structure have been employed to carefully control the angle of attack and increase the chord-wise cohesion of the sail whilst accelerated. The overall effect is an increase in the internal pressure throughout the speed range for a more forgiving behaviour in turbulence, greater resistance to spin at higher angles of attack, and high levels of inherent stability at lower angles of attack. The efficiency of the sail has been optimised with miniribs, 3D shaping, and plastic rods for a clean, wrinkle free leading edge.

THE PILOT

The Freeride is a competition wing at its base. It replaces the SLALOM, and sits between the VIPER 4 and SPEEDSTER 2 in the OZONE range. It is designed for experienced and advanced pilots who are seeking a wing with more dynamic characteristics than the SPEEDSTER 2, whilst being less demanding and more accessible than the VIPER 4.

High performance competition wing

The Viper 4 is our paramotor competition wing designed for advanced pilots only. The Viper 4 can be used for classic or slalom competition tasks, and is a highly efficient and versatile performance PPG wing. It is an evolution of the V3, with a 3-line design, unsheathed lines, and a new profile. In thermal conditions its behavior is similar to a paragliding wing, with excellent climb and glide performance and with progressive and intuitive handling that transmits moderate feedback to the pilot

While the core mission of the V3 was performance flying, the Viper 4 is more suitable for dynamic and slalom competition flying, thanks to a higher top speed with more stability across the entire speed range. Furthermore, a totally new riser system has increased both speed range and refined control in accelerated flight. A new PK system is built into the risers, and a 2D steering system with an additional pulley to install custom steering modifications for competition slalom flying.

The V4 PK system connects the accelerator and trim system on the risers. This yields a higher top speed (greater range of acceleration) with the same amount of travel in the accelerator.

In the V4 2D steering system, the brake line and tip steering line (TST) are connected to the main brake handle. This system allows the pilot to isolate control of the wingtip (TST), or the center of the trailing edge, or both together.

The V4 Slalom steering system for competition flying was developed by Alex Mateos several years ago and has helped to make him one of the most successful PPG Slalom competition pilots in the history of the sport. We think this is the safest and most reliable slalom steering system available.

During the development of the Sirocco and Spyder, we saw the advantages of lightweight materials in PPG wings. The V4 is designed with light weight fabric on the bottom surface. The lighter sail means increased overall performance, more agile and responsive handling, easy inflation, and effortless ground handling.

The MAGMAX Tandem Wing

Based on the now famous Magnum series, the MagMax is specifically adapted to powered flight. It offers the same high levels of performance, handling, and ease of use that has made the Magnum series the world’s bestselling tandem wing, but with special features specific to powered flight.

The easy launch and flight characteristics make the MagMax an ideal choice for professional tandem instructors, but also part time weekend pilots. Due to the light sail, the MagMax inflates easily in all wind conditions and is easy to control not only in the air but also on the ground. For trikes, the wing can be launched easily and cleanly without the use of the A risers. Trike launch assist systems can be accommodated on the risers to further aid the launch. This easy, forgiving nature on the ground helps remove the stress from launches and allows you to concentrate more on the flying.

In the air, the Magmax handles like a free flight wing with a light, direct feel through the brakes. The high levels of glide and climb efficiency, thanks to the high performance profile, moderate aspect ratio and low total line drag makes the Magmax suitable for a wide range of motor and trike units. In many cases it is not necessary to have a particularly strong tandem motor since the wing produces enough lift for a modest amount of cc’s.

The high level of overall efficiency gives a smooth ride, with good behaviour in active conditions and easy landing characteristics, thanks to its powerful and progressive flare authority.

The riser system has been specifically designed for powered flight and features a shorter length with low split A and baby A risers for ease of use, TST handles for high speed manoeuvrability, magnetic brake/TST retainers (the height of which can be adjusted to suit the power unit and the pilot’s personal taste) and long adjustable trimmers for fast cruising speeds. The Spreader bars feature OZONE’s Ear Blocker System for easy and prolonged Big Ear retention, for safe and easy descents.

Tandem and trike PPG flying is exciting and fun, but is vastly easier and more enjoyable with the right tool for the job. The MagMax is the easiest and most versatile wing that we have ever flown for this purpose.
